efm water temp

My water temp will not go above 150 and I just had the aqua stat and circulation pump replaced. changed my aqua stat settings 160-200 no heat in my house for 3 days HELP

Are you shure it is wired correctly (triple aquastat)? L1 hot L2 neutral coming from the main switch, TT are low voltage from a thermostat, B1 B2 go to the stoker motor, C1 C2 are for the circulator pump, ZC ZR can go to a switching relay. Can you post a picture of how it is wired ?

Did you have this problem before the aquastat and pump were replaced? I'm assuming that you did, that's why the work was done.
With the current aquastat settings of 160/200 and a water temperature of 150° the stoker should not shut off. Is it running continuously?

I hate to ask the obvious...but is the stoker running? Does the fire look orange and bright? What is the feed rate set at?

EDIT---> Close the valve on the SUPPLY side of the circulator about half and see what happens then!

Did this boiler previously heat the house without any problems?

I am new at all this! Never touched one before. I have to go and look these things up. Still having same problem I started out with. Trying the valve thing now.

If you are not that familiar with the controls, who replaced the aquastat ? And if you had to pay the person or company, why not call them ? Could it be they didn't replace what was wrong and you pay for their guess work until they get it right ? I would not pay until they fix the problem and give an explination on why they replaced what they did.

Where do you live? If you are lucky there will be an EFM guru nearby that can educate you on this unit.

Not saying the replaced control is the issue

It wouldn't be the first time a mechanic changed a burner control and opened the valves that used to keep the system in balance - because he didn't understand circulation.

so there is the root of my suggestion - and that's all it is -- just a suggestion from a figment of the public internet - anything you do on your system is of your doing alone - always understand what you doing and why - then take full custody and control of the result.

In other words, YOU BREAK IT, YOU BOUGHT IT.

This comes from the Honeywell site and the aquastat is probably an L7224A since it was recently replaced.

Adjusting Settings
To discourage unauthorized changing of Aquastat® settings, a
procedure to enter the adjustment mode is required. To enter the
adjustment mode, press the UP, DOWN, and I buttons
simultaneously for three seconds. Press the I button until the
feature requiring adjustment is displayed:
• HL—High Limit.
• LL—Low Limit.
• Ldf—Low Limit differential.
• F - C—°F or °C.
Then press the UP and/or DOWN buttons to move the set point to
the desired value. After 60 seconds without any button inputs, the
control will automatically return to the READ mode.
To use the L7224U in a cold start boiler application, disable the
Low Limit function by pressing the UP arrow button, DOWN arrow
button and I buttons simultaneously for three seconds. Then push
the I button until LL is displayed. Then press the down arrow
button until OFF is displayed.

With the thermostat turned up and the water temperature above the low limit, the circulator should start. If it's a Taco 007, you may have to put your ear directly against it to hear it running, or use a piece of wood against the body of the circulator and to your ear. If the circulator isn't running, that's the problem. If it is running, then the boiler pressure may be too low. It should be at least 12#. If you have 12 pounds and the zones are open, then I would suspect air in the lines.
