Forecast is for 4" to here at this time. Areas to the east of me will get more with this type of storm.

My area is looking at 10 -15" .... cancellations are endless on the local news station's tickers at the bottom of the screen. Total chaos! Yet, it happens here every single year ... since before the Pilgrims hit Plymouth.

Gotta love the media for blowing this WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY out of proportion!!

The storm is coming more north than expected. We are looking at a foot of new, heavy snow before midnight. Just another day in Maine. This little snow won't even slow up the airport.

Rob, congrats on the new EFM. I am sooooo jealous. I plan to get a 520 one of these days. Gonna have to wait a year or two though. Keep us informed on the project, and remember; PICTURES-PICTURES-PICTURES. :D
The EFM has landed in the basement. It is far from new, a 1981 to be exact. Not much difference in design though, especially since this one has been fitted with the extended coil flange. I have the boiler and base sealed, and will probably start some plumbing tonight. The clock is ticking. I need to get it fired before I need another fuel oil delivery.

Fred, I just noticed you added your Zip code to your information. I have been wondering where "Freetown" was, now I know. Believe it or not, I attended Kindergarten in Cincinnatus. We had a beautiful hunting camp in Union Valley (near Pitcher) for a long time; finally sold it a few years ago. Going to that area is like taking a step back in time.

I'd say we got a total of 10-11 inches. Nice sunny day today. No wind.

Got at least a foot here. Wind was howling last night. I was awakened at 4am by my weather station beeping like crazy, due to a sharp drop in barometric pressure.

Went and shoveled a little & let my cat try to go out. One paw went in, & he was all set with that!

Going to wait until this is all done before I plow.

Roads completely covered here. They don't plow too often - one pass up, on pass down, & that's it.

But I have a HOT boiler!

Was just watching the local news -- I couldn't resist.

They were talking about people getting disoriented on the Mass. Pike after spinning out, then .... HEADING THE WRONG DIRECTION!!! :woot:  :funny: Boy, do we have all the bright ones or what???

Nice rig! 8-)

Yeah nobody will ever forget '78. I remember walking through the back yard in a "tunnel" my ol' man cut through with the snowblower. Was at least 2 feet over my head!

You were smarter than I ..... I should've stayed in Phoenix .... :(
