You will love the hopper, Bought mine last year and have no complaints at all, and it will give LOTS of heat when you need it and idle so low in spring and fall you won't know it is burning. GREAT STOVE.

you'll love it fish, mine does the job in a pretty not so air tight 200 yr old farm house--I keep my back closed off but am still heating about 2400 sq & she's not breaking a sweat--just make sure you posistion her in the right place--I'm right in the living area & fastcat is in the basement,so I'd bet there is alot of help here to cut down on your trial & error phase--and PLEASE--do not take the hopper out for any reason--it's there for a reason

If you are just looking for more heat, why not just go up to the bigger brother the 82? Very little little learning curve then.
