Well, welcome to September you all!

Time to take delivery of some more coal; and maybe to pick up where we left off on our coal country touring -- and, of course, our version of the timeless competition between the "jocks v. nerds": the shakers v. the girlie men. And let's not forget another of our trademark "business meetings :occasion5: ."

Our friend, Pottsville native and founder of last June's program, J.C. Coalberner, has offered to put together another weekend-full of coal country sightseeing, information and beer consumption for us. Naturally, the best time to descend on the PA hills in the fall would be when the leaves are in peak color, which last year's reports in VisitPA suggest will be mid-to-late October. This year, that likely would be the weekends of Oct 20-21 or 27-28.

Still should be nice for us riders then, too!

So, see if one of those weekends will work for you and post up here if you're interested. I think it's safe to say that all us who met in June gained from the trip.

Even though there were but two motorcycles.

Hope we can have another good meet next month.

As it now stands, I'll be away the weekend of the 27-28th and unable to make it.

But if that works better for most, I'll yield. The important thing is for as many as possible on the board to get to the middle of the PA coal hills and see what there is to see. And drink what there is to drink!

To my way of thinking, this goes particularly for those who haven't yet been there. So anybody who's interested, don't be shy; post up with your availability and we'll see how it shakes out.

What happens if you back the weekend up one more to the 13th?? Can everyone make that weekend?? The trees may have started to turn by then, it all depends on the weather.

The weekends of the 20th or 27th look OK for me. The 13th I have a commitment I can't get out of. I would love to make it if it works out but if not I'll catch you all at the next one.
