I worked in an electronics factory in high school. If we mentioned having gone on a date, there was a guy there that would say, "Didja get yer dauber wet?"

I was gonna use "lower than a snakes belly in a wagn rut"- too late

How about "He's a legend in his own mind".
"I feel like I been shot and missed and *censored* at and hit."
"Dumber than a bag of axe handles."

A couple thousand more:

To quote my father in law " Shove a bone up my a*s and let the dogs carry me away". Don't let the door knob hit you in the a*s on the way out. Let the door knob hit ya' where the good lord split ya'.

SO ugly your parents kept you locked in the cellar and fed you with a slingshot. Stop, bend over, and pull real hard to get your head out of your ass. God don't like stupid. Open the gate Maw, sounds like one of our hogs! ( after a loud belch)

"Sharp as a marble " is how I heard it first. And my favorite is "A job worth doing is a job worth doing well."

I just about pi$$ed myself - that's FUNNY! It describes my job perfectly, too.

From my great grandpa who sold lumber and coal from a horse drawn wagon in W.Va, stated when he heard someone going on about nothing; "An empty wagon makes a lot of noise."
