I just bought a rare stove and it was delivered to me yesterday. Now I know I need another stove like a hole in the head, but; I just love them and this one deserves to be restored and put in my living room. The Stanley Argand is still greatly loved and will remain until the addition I am planning is built and it will go there or maybe this new addition to the family will. Anyway, this is a Round Andes 166. A big stove that is taller than the Glenwood and has a 16 inch fire pot that is almost 19 inches deep. This stove has all the bells and base burner whistles. Inside circulating path around the sides and back of the fire pot and a base burning path that goes around the whole ash pit before it goes under the ash pit and then up the back pipe to exit. It has the gas burning option and the lower draft door is set up to allow a cross burning flame path also. It is missing its foot rests, its finial and the plate that covers the inspection/clean out opening into the base burning circuit.

William..... Another really nice stove you got there. The craftmanship is very unique in the design of that stove. Can't wait to see it fired up in the future. Good luck with it.

That old beauty sure is ornate. How rare and difficult will it be to find parts for this stove?

Awsome stove! I love my Andes and am almost finished reassembling. Is it all cast iron like the 161? Best of luck with that beauty a great score.

This makes 3 stoves. There's Stanley, the Glenwood and now this Round Andes. The stove is in pretty good condition, the missing parts are going to take a while to find.
