2 1/2 ton of nut in my Hitzer 50-93, but the fat lady has not sung YET--calling for snow flurries tonight. 70's for the week-end.

16 lbs a day now. You all have me wondering what I really burn. I always have coal left over buying 7500 lbs a year. Luckily a guy that works for me is soon to be burning, as he has been getting burned by the propane guy It kills me when he comes in and tells me his fillup costs every 2 months or less, and they are still cold. I will be supplying him with my leftovers until he gets a handle on real consumption. He will be helping my co-op with my friends, volume discounts only help us all.

5.5 tons so far from mid sept till now. Cooking at an average 72-74 in a 2400 sqft brick ranch. Less than .5 gal of fuel oil used. Last year with buying wood and fuel oil I spent from February to April is the same as I spent from sept till now and my house was averaging 66-68. Not down grading burning wood by any means, I hated having to get up every 2-4 hours and go to the basement and throw wood on the fire. Especially at night.

As of today, 2.5 tons of nut (stopped burning that 2 weeks ago), and approximately 12 bags of pea. I picked up 1/2 ton of pea last weekend and haven't touched it yet. Before that I was buying between 3—6 bags of pea a week.

A plastic 5 gallon pail probably holds nearly 5.5 gallons to the very top. Just like a typical 55 gallon drum will hold 57 to 58 gallons to the very top.

Santa only weighs 40#?
A 5 gallon pail is not always so?
If you are warm and have enough coal in the bin, it don't matter how much...
Just how little coal you have burned...
Always have more coal than you need for the next season...
