I'm confused--is the flue the same as duct work other then a heatolater set up
Hi, my question was for connection from the insert to duct work running warm air to registers in the same room, and or upstairs, and or downstairs as you can do with some wood burning inserts? Some are gravity working some are with blowers to circulate the hot air.nortcan wrote:Hi, do you know if these inserts can be connected to duct work like some wood inserts can be?
Thanks

Insert as in fireplace Insert. They are not intended to be hooked up to heating ducts.

With the living room location of most inserts, a hopper fed unit makes for much easier, and less dusty loading of coal.. and less likelyhood of a stray hot coal getting loose and rolling out onto the hearth or floor..
Hitzer will ship direct from the factory to a buyer if there is not a retailer near the buyer..
Look on this site for the long thread of photos of your stove.. there will be several pics of the various inserts available..
Or start a thread with the tittle of Please post photos of your insert here.
