If it were me, I'd find someone -- anyone -- with a welder & just have them weld the thing back together, then keep the new auger for a spare. That way you can just keep re-welding the old one until you get some dough for the bushings.
You could go to a welder, or just an automotive repair shop. I can't see them charging much for that. Or try to find someone in your neighborhood that welds. That way you'll at least have heat, plus an auger to fall back on in emergencies.

You don't have to replace every part listed, only the auger, bushing, and sleeve. If you PM scrapper_23 he might have one for you in the AM.
If you have circulators on your system, you could manually wire them to run all the time temporarily, thereby avoiding any chance of freezing......moving water won't freeze.
Do a search for EFM 520 manual and it shows all the parts in great detail.
Don't panic, just keep the house from freezing up.
Exit 104 in Ravine off ! 81...should not be more than a 75 minute drive.......Steve Wilhelm Furnace .

Buddy welcome to the forum, these guys have provided some good information and most of them are from your neck of the woods. All yea, welcome to PA. We are all in the same ball park but we all play a different base, what I mean is that we all burn coal for a different reason, we like to tinker, are kids at heart and just like to stand with the fire door open staring at the fire, and in sure Im speaking for everyone; we like the money saved with a little work and determination. Good luck with your stoker!
Thanks guys.
Mike, read replied, and very much appreciated.
ran out to lowes for 2 kero heaters, and just wired the circulator pump to run .... I believe I shouldnt have a problem with pipes. Thanks for the suggestion, I didnt think of running pump.
I can't thank you guys enough for all the help.

Yes, you can enlarge the hole in the blower base where the worm shaft passes through. I used to make them 3/4" diameter.

Ummm -- am I missing something here??? Is the no chance of hand stoking this engine? Sure it might be an every hour job =but I have slept next to a boiler - once when I stayed at a Holiday Inn.

So can the coal be hand fed in thru the transfer box?
And then the coal worm will feed it into the pot...

The 900 and 520 don't use the same feed system.
There's nothing preventing you from putting a small amount of coal in the pot and running the stoker to burn it manually. You'll have to regulate the amount of coal so the boiler doesn't overheat and remove the ash. Since the house is cold, you don't have to worry about overheating that much.

Fill in your signature with your location... a Freetown Fred says, nobody will kidnap you !! Maybe someone will live nearby and be able to help..
Like was said above,, we are all living in the same place,, here, and we want to help if we can..
Did you find some temporary heat? to keep the pipes from freezing??
If it's a Kero heater or a propane one,, make SURE you have outside air ventilation.. both consume oxygen and give off some Carbon Monoxide !!
Safety first !!
