Help - convert Pellet stove to oil stove.

PostBy: hayseed On: Mon Jan 31, 2011 10:26 am

I am sitting on 275 Gallons of #2 heating oil (long story short, brand new tank, line filter and oil) the system I had went bad and is now ripped out and GONE!)

I have a harmon invincible stove (which really is a rock solid stove)
I would like to find a way to convert it to a drip oil stove, or even a wicked oil stove. I had an idea of installing parts from an old kerosene stove (the wick and baffles) Or find some way to set it up like on of those Torpedo heaters. my house is really cold, so fast help would be great.

Sell the oil, buy pellets. Trying to burn fuel oil in a pellet stove sounds like the beginning of a bad story that ends with your house being VERY warm.

I know oil is not really explosive but I thought this would be fitting in this situation

That much oil holds a lot of cold in it and you could get rhumathizm if you sit on it!!! sell it!! buy coal!!

the drip thing and wick thing isnt practical to vent properly and feed air correctly to do it safely.... you could wake up COLD and Blue!!
