First Time Coal Users.

Looking for a good source of rice coal in the Allentown/Lehigh Valley area. Either delivered or pick up our selves. Willing to drive to a breaker if the price makes it worth it. Its very hard to find info on the web so any help would be very appreciated.

Coal Prices, Coal Quality, Coal Dealer Inquiries and Reviews

You have come to the right place for the info you seek! Check out this link there are many threads discussing coal quality and prices from the breakers and various dealers in different areas. I am sure someone local to you will jump in, but this will get you started.

Thanks titlist, I read through that post for several pages and did not get too much info for local places but will keep looking. Got a good price from Lutz's for bulk pick up so if I don't find anything better thats where I will go. I can't wait to get the stove installed and burning. Good Bye oil!

Any recommendations for a breaker with good quality coal that is within an hour or so of the Lehigh Valley? I will be picking up with a full size pick up truck, how much will they let me take in a trip or should I bring my trailer and tarps that can carry 3-4 ton. I can burn Buckwheat and rice.
