I never leave the house without my Para Warthog in .45 ... "Big holes bleed faster" is my thinking there. Wifey carries a S & W J-frame Model 642 in .38 special +P.
MA has some of the WORST laws in the country. Can't buy any brass, bullets, powder or ammo online -- can't have anything like that shipped. There's no law specifically against it -- it's just that MA laws are so ridiculous, redundant & confusing that most out of state companies won't bother to risk the business! Exactly what these *censored* legislators want!
There's also no real law against open carry either .... but with all these bleeding-heart liberals running around here, it saves you alot of B.S. just carrying concealed. Some hippy pansy throwback sees your sidearm & starts freaking out because their precious children just "SAW" it ..... then they call the cops .... just don't need all that fuss. I like the element of surprise anyway.
My neighborhood is probably THE most heavily armed in the state. A criminal would be a fool to break into any house around here! We all shoot right in our yards, which in MA is unheard of for the past 30 years. I also reload pistol rounds. 7 grains of Unique behind a Hornady XTP hollow point or 225 grain lead. I cast them out of wheel weights & range lead I find online for cheap. I have a Hornady LnL progressive press with automatic case feeder. I can do about 15-30 rounds per minute on that setup.
Want to learn about MA? Pull up a chair, grab a coffee & set aside a few hours of your time to read this. Just plain sickening, unconstitutional, & reeks of communism: http://www.goal.org/masslawpages/masslaws.html
Here's a great website for MA gun owners: http://www.massgunlawreform.com/index.html
I'm trying to find this PDF that I spent 4 hours reading one night about how a former state official was trying to unilaterally ban handguns altogether. G.O.A.L. spent $12,000 trying to get these documents. State kept charging fee after fee for the documents ... and none of them were labeled correctly ... so they had to weed through piles and piles of documents - which was obviously done on purpose by the state to avoid detection.
Found it! NOW get that coffee -- brew a big pot. This is a long one ..... and will make you understand our current situation in the White House. This is how liberals pass laws. No regard for the constitution whatsoever!! http://goal.org/regulationpages/fraudreport.html

Hey Smitty!
I've heard the horror stories from duck hunters who hunt the islands around Boston harbor.
Harassment from "Officials" who stop you to check boat registrations, permits Etc. Etc. averaging about four hours of BS
They made it so miserable for hunters, even when doing everything by the book. ABIDING BY ALL THE LAWS.
Folks just quit going out there.
And that's exactly how Mass wants it.
We'd have a LOT less if not for the NRA.
There's a question. How many NRA members here?

A die hard supporter on the right to bear arms--but--don't even get me started on the NRA --I joined when I was 14 & have seen many, many changes that I'm not real thrilled with--Quit about 10 yrs ago--I'm 66 now. There are many other ways to have your voice heard! NRA seems to have become a yuppy club

I was just going to say that. It'd be nice. But no. Not in this hell hole state. I can buy a shotgun but not a pistol.Wood'nCoal wrote:Forget about the average Joe carrying in New Jersey.

i own a half dozen guns and 1 colt 10mm pistol . I don't carry but I have been thinking about it . got to love NH . as far as i'm concerned the 2nd amendment to the US constitution gives everyone that right . the supreme court has said so 2 times resently . state lines be damned . they didn't care about state lines when they wrote the constitution . I should be able to protect my self no matter where I am .

When I'm not at work I usually have my Ruger LCP with me. I will when it gets warmer start to open carry because in Pa it's legal to do so. People (libs) need to see that guns aren't the problem but rather the criminals that use the law against you. Open carry tends to avoid stupid happening

I have opened carried a few times & gotten more slack & confrontations than I can count, been threatened with arrest, asked to leave places the whole gamut. One state officer did bring up a very valid point that in this time & age it would only take one nutcase to think hes saving the world & someones at the very least gonna be seriously hurt or there will be charges of risking a catastrophe. He then politely asked me to conceal it & I did out of respect for him.

This thread is relevant to my interests.
I asked a chap that I had only recently met(back then) if he might conceal his weapon. We were sitting at the bar of fine restaurant and it was apparent that his sidearm was drawing too much attention. I was friendly with the owner and some of the older patrons expressed discomfort. The fellow concealed his weapon by placing his sportcoat over his lap...The side arm was a Dirty Harry type, Holstered at his waist...Nickle plated Hogleg...HUGE!samhill wrote:I have opened carried a few times & gotten more slack & confrontations than I can count, been threatened with arrest, asked to leave places the whole gamut. He had just completed his day as a part of a F.I.S.T. operation, he was a Federal Marshal ...and now great friend too!
