I've burned about 6 tons so far. Maybe a ton more left. I started up in mid Sept. And to add on the above post. I find my self outside alot with just a T Shirt on when the temps get in the higer 30's after the winter. But in the fall it seems colder/

40* all last night. It's 54 now.This isn't the slow melt I was hopeing for--just got a Accu-weather alert--gusty winds (20-40 mph) till 5 AM tomorrow w/ temps dropping into the 20's-no snow forcast,but, she's sure clouding up as we speak---with those 40* temps, I'm good with one hod for 24 hrs--shake & top off every 12 hrs ;)

44 this morning, but we have been warned about tonight:

Much colder with lows around 3 below. Northwest winds 10 to 15 mph. Gusts up to 40 mph... decreasing to 30 mph after midnight. Wind chill values as low as 21 below after midnight.

The barrel is full, and the EFM is standing by.

9 last nite, 43 today, still not getting me warm enough to go outside and putter. I am starting to see the "reserve" of Kimmel coal in the shed as I burn throught the 7500 lbs of Cornwall, I bought last August. Evel Oil is still at 3/4 from September delivery. Never had to turn on the thermostats for the shiny new Buderus boiler sitting in the basement heating hotwater. I truly wish I bought a KAA-2. But the Keystoker 90 will have to do. If I live to 100 I think I will Know everything, or enough. Go figure.

About 2 ton of "free" coal through the Harman, Started the EFM on December 20th with 1.5 ton in the bin, Bought another 1.5 ton for the boiler on January 29. I did have to burn oil (added to the tank 10 gallons at a time before I finished installing the boiler), so I really can't figure an accurate heating cost since I didn't keep records on the oil purchases. I figure I spent $300 on coal plus about $120 on gas for the truck.
Winter's not over yet!

Fired up my brand new Keystoker 90K on Thanksgiving day and have used 80 bags of Blashak rice since. I have a 1700 sq ft ranch with thermostat set at 70. We've had an extremeley cold winter so far. I haven't used a drop of oil. :D :D
