AHS S130 Immersion Wells question

I can affirm now that the S130 I received has one open and available 1/2" tapping for an immersion well. I assume this to be the norm, as I did not specify it as a special option request.

Note, this is a correction of my original posting wherein I had the size of the tapping in error.

Gee, it would be nice if that fact would be in a spec sheet. Maybe your boiler is special maybe be it isn't. How's a new customer to know what he's going to get.

Come on AHS and other manufactures describe accurately what you are selling. Let the customer know before he tries to install it.

So once again directly to Ben Witmer (AHS sales manager), Jeff Gingerich (AHS founder) and Brian Wise (current owner), how about an accurate spec sheet for what you are selling.

Correcting my earlier statement (which I will also go back and correct), the tappings accept 1/2" male threaded wells.

I realize that this is an old thread, but having seen my boiler vs. pictures of another recently acquired and installed AHS S130, I now realize that Yanche was right in that without asking and/or specifying in advance of the purchase one can apparently never really know what available tappings they might get. The free and available 1/2" tapping that is located to the upper right of the tombstone cover for the sight hole on my boiler does not seem to be present on the posted install photos of another recent AHS S130 (as seen in the recent thread about S130 explosions (puff-backs)). It appears now that I may have merely lucked out in having this available tapping on mine, which I will use to shut off the circulator at 145 degrees or less of boiler temp.
