Hot Cereal

PostBy: valley trash On: Mon Feb 07, 2011 5:12 am

Yes, yes, the battle of the cereals round 2 is finally here folks. And for this installment i bring you all that is not a cold, soggy and disappointing breakfast but that which brings a burning flame of warmth to ones early morning adventure into the heart of flavor! Behold the much belated Hot Cereal poll. For those who voted raisin bran last time, go away, it isnt listed here. Take your bran and stay home. These few choices are all that will be listed. Your angry "why not" messages will not be noted. Good day my friends.

I'm a Yankee, never had grits. Tell ya what, I haven't thought about cream o wheat in a long time, used to love it. No idea what maltomeal is  Had to go with good ole oatmeal. Slice a bananna into it, a little milk, and a spritz of maple syrup and buttered toast yessir.

Oatmeal for my main hot breakfast, grits & cream of wheat are fine too. Even in summer I`ll take hot cereal over cold.

Ahh yes.. the bearded clam. The one hot cereal item totally forgot to list. I was saving that one for the next poll; breakfast meats. Roast beef flaps to beans and hogbacks, and yes the innuendos of any sort are totally welcome. BTW, kudos to oatmeal. Im still rooting for grits, but im sure most folks on here dont know how to eat them to begin with. Oats are a good butter and sugar cereal unlike grits. Tis a sin to put sweets in grits.

Yes a sin for some but like most everything else one persons sin can be anothers pleasure. I don`t normally sweeten up any cereal except maybe a little honey, prefer grits with butter only.

I'm suffering from a verticle taco deficiency. Symptoms are lethargy, sadness, irritability, lonliness and freedom to do whatever I want.
