i recently purchase loose rice coal from a local guy here in town. I have been running the stove
all season (pioneer rear vent power venter) as soon as I changed to different brand coal the stove will not get up to temp.
usually it runs at 525 temp full bore but now I can get it past 425 temp. I increased the feed rate on the coal trol from 45 to 63 made a little
difference. I was able before to get hot coal dropping of the grate, now I can. anybody have any ideas, or did I get some bad coal, sounds funny
but I do not know. draft has not been touched.

You say the draft hasn't been touched, but has it been checked? Maybe it's time for a cleaning. Ash build up can cause this type of issue.
