A tree rat is a tree rat! Damn things steal every one of my English walnuts every year. The wife and I use a high power.177 pellet rifle to shot the little bastards! They are too fast for my dogs.

Not much meat on them, but they are good eatin'

I have two large English Walnuts trees. The squirrels cleaned me out last summer. Previous to last summer, I always ended up with a few 5 gal buckets of walnuts. Watching those squirrels clean out the tress is amazing. They are machines at work, non-stop all day. I have never shot at any squirrels but next summer the Gamo will be busy.

Yeah, you need about 25 of them to make a stew for 2. Haven't had squirrel since all the yuppies invaded my parents neighborhood.

I don't really want to talk about squirrels right now! See Catastrophic loss of propane
The little bastards just cost me alot of money. And while I do go to some length to keep them out of my bird feeder, I do throw seeds and peanuts on the ground for them....or I used.

I would imagine a person could adjust one of those corn holders enough to become a "lead magnet" :?: 8-)

I get to see the damage they do when the get into attics and such, I shoot them all on sight around my house. They are not endangered, yet, and the supply is endless.
