TrickleStar Energy Saving Devices

Hi all,

I'm always looking to find ways to save money so I ended up coming across these "devices". To you technical wizards on here are these things worth getting for my TV and PC area's?

If you want to save on electricity, just plug all the tv devices into a power strip and when you are done watching tv, turn the entire power strip off. I think my cable box draws about 30 watts when turned off with he remote. The downside is if you unplug it, it has to call home and reboot when you turn it back on, takes a few minutes. Getting sick of the cable bill also, tv and internet is costing me $105/month now. I have 2 Rokus and am going to try to see if they will work with the Dsl offered here.

That is true, you have to reset everything if you power them off thru a power strip. Channels, time, settings, programs, etc.....
