Just had to get 4 bags of rice from Kresge, everyone around Stroudsburg is out of rice coal for ton delivery. Kresge sells Jeddo coal. They also confirmed to me that People's Coal is a separate company from Kresge now.

Also, People's coal in Stroudsburg is the same company as Kresge's. I got a P/U load of Hudson last year with Chris, DVC500 at last. The Hudson also burned very well for me. I hope that my two cents were of help.

wow your the first one i hear of that had luck with Hudson coal

Nothing wrong with Hudson coal. You have a bug up your ass about them huh? People have been getting it from Agel for many years, or getting it delivered directly from the Hudson yard. I personally know people whom have had problems with Casey Kassa and the driver admitted it was sub-standard coal at times. Take your pick. Ask a few coal stove dealers whom has the worst local coal. They will tell you of the problems it has caused.

no bug up my ass here  ...........couple of hemorrhoids swing like grapes :D ................. I Used to get my coal from Agel for years, never knew how bad there coal was until i was running out and need some, went and got a pickup truck load from Casey and big change in burning and ash, started asking at work what other guys were burning and all were getting casey even one of the guys that lives right by Hudson , had a friend buy a Harmon Mag and was having burning problems gave him a couple pails of my coal and no more problems, he was burning Hudson, also not saying Casey the best out there but in my eyes with the problems i have been having with Hudson they would have to prove top me it better now.

and all coal is substandard at times its the nature of the beast, however it should not be bad 3 years 6 ton each in a row

At Kresge we paid $9 for a 70 lb. bag of Jeddo, which I think is a good price, but they are low, so he let us have 4 bags. People's charges $7 for a 40 lb. a bag for whatever it is they're getting now. Ace Hardware in Mt. Pocono charges $6.99 for what I believe is a 40 lb. bag of Blaschak, but they were out of rice too.

Thanks for the info, will keep it in mind. As of now, People's is expecting to have coal to deliver to us on Wednesday. Of course, since we're not happy with People's coal this year, that's a good and a bad thing. If they can't make a delivery, though, we'll need some places to check for bagged. Worse comes to worse, we may just finish the season with...... propane  since we have a full 500 gal. tank just sitting there. There's no way we'll need all that for the BBQ!

And next season, we plan to have another coal bin set up so that we can buy and store 5-7 tons, either one delivery or a trip to UAE with neighbors, no worries... and we'll have leftover.

Not sure if they will go as far as Stroudsurg but I saw Forest Inn Masonary in Lehighton started delivering bulk coal. They are located on 209 just down from The Country Junction. Depending on where you live they may only be 20 miles away. I am pretty sure I saw a high lift truck parked at their place.

Thanks for the info. Lehighton is a distance away from us so they probably wouldn't deliver to us, but it won't hurt to check, never know!
