i was just wondering what everyones thoughts were on burning dry oil or oiled rice coal.besides the dust factor does one burn hotter (more heat) or burn longer than the other. i have burned oiled for my first three years and have been happy.i burn between 5 and 6 tons per year.1600 sq foot house good insulation . it also does my hot water.one of my neighbors who also burns coal found a deal on some dry rice coal and he says he is burning about 1/2 as much. he thinks it must be the coal .he said he has backed the feed way off on the furnace compared to where it was burning the oiled. i can save about 40 per ton by switching to the dry. but have bouhgt all my coal from the same place and not had one problem. so i guess i don't want to switch unless it really will save money and use less at the same time. thanks for any help.
