I'm not a big Nascar fan, but I do catch arace now & then. Right now the 500 is on TV. What's with this "velcro bumper" I'm seeing. I've seen guy draft before but never noticed them so very tight. It looks like they are touching!

The only thing that I ever liked about the 500 week-end,was knowing that Bike week wasn't far off

I wish there was Playboy and Penthouse cars and that they replayed the wreck slowly!

Its Bump-drafting, but yeah, the rear car is PUSHING the front car. Two cars are faster than one, so this type of driving will be more common to keep the speeds up.
Until they change the rules again... :mad3:

I can't tell if I like this race or not. It's just "run like heck until you wreck" and then do it all over.

"The Big One" has been a part of this game for a while and I don't know what you can do to change it.

I detest NASCAR but thought I'd look and see what you were talking about. All I can say is if you can watch this then you'll have no trouble with Pro Wrestling. EEEEE YUKKKKK.

Interesting type of racing, not my favorite but deserves it's own respect. Going 200mph around a tri-oval where the only way to get to the top is to be pushed by someone that wants to beat you to the finish line... I can't imagine going 200mph around a bend let alone doing it while pushing the car infront of me.

I much prefer a dirt track. I used to go to Bristol every year, but that has even gotten kinda boring with the new rules.

With any racing though, who ever cheats the best wins.

You can't appreciate the banking on that track without seeing it in person, the TV does no justice. I was never to Daytona but did take a tour of Talladega with similar configuration, when you see it in person you realize how steep it is. Part of the tour was a ride around the track in a van, they stopped at the steepest part and allowed you to get out. Climbing to the fence would have required some effort and if you fell you were definitely going all the way to the bottom.
