I missed it, read a few articles now. Any mention of legislative reform?

PA has second most expensive government in US, only topped by CA.

Don't know if this is true but.....
"Days after his election Gov. Tom Corbett, who had accepted about $1 million in campaign contributions from drilling interests, condemned a moratorium that then-Gov. Ed Rendell had imposed on new drilling leases in state forests. But Mr. Corbett believed that Mr. Rendell had attempted to preclude drilling on 700,000 acres that already had been leased, when Mr. Rendell actually had taken off the table about 800,000 unleased acres. Scant difference - Mr. Corbett plans to lease that acreage as well."

Also...about the gas drilling waste water......Mixed with sawdust it officially becomes solid waste. So far 'Uncle Louie's" landfill accepts it and has been doing so. The landfill in Taylor/Ransom has expressed it's desire to also accept the waste..........what's in it? Who knows......... Maybe Gov. CORPORATE (Corbett) can build his next house by the landfill.
Check out these pictures and see what some of this sludge looks like.

There goes my well water but then again I might just be able to ignite the water & use it to heat the house.

When he was in Erie I went to see him & before being elected he was saying the drilling was going to need some serious looking into. He was barely sworn in before he announced his approval, the state stores needed to be sold long ago all he did was to shift the tax raises to the local school districts but IMO there are going to be plenty. I didn`t see anything about the welfare reform & other like issues he said could save money. Then once again from what I heard most of the inner circle of politicians & judges all got a raise. The raise may or may not be true.

His staff has higher average salary than Rendell's but there is less of them, I forget the total and isn't much of savings over a Rendell but it is less.

Some school districts in Erie are already considering chopping the athletic teams, bands & school busing. Sounds reasonable, most have built new stadiums with astro-turf & everything else. Even my republican rep. says from what hes learned so far there will be a lot of debating on this. Funny how I still don`t see anything on issues like public housing, transportation, welfare or the state run health programs other than cuts for the elderly.

He did bring up privatizing the state stores, I`ve heard that when I was a kid, I`m an old man now. Nothing about privatizing all the transit authorities either, I can`t catch a bus anywhere around me, why should I have to pay. Theres all kinds of things that could help but for some reason education seems to be the biggie, that & cutting jobs, a few weeks ago jobs, jobs, jobs were the only thing to fix this economic mess. Silly me, I thought all along they were talking about creating employment.

You can only do so much at a time, I think the budget increased 50% under Rendell. Scaling that back can't be done overnight especially with the pension issue. If they start cutting all this stuff you know people are going to get angry.

From what I've read they are looking at it, no firm plans yet.

what about the game commission

I believe they are supported by licensing and not directly by taxes.
