.... and buy silver and seeds! I can't help thinking about using my garden cart to haul twenty dollar bills to buy groceries instead of coal. Hey maybe we can trade Christmas stockings full of coal!

Quit livin in the past, whoever you are & where-ever you're from----Not being part of the solution is the same as being part of the problem---you know, like the buck stops there
He is here trying to tell the coal board that geothermal is great. So Fred be a sport and start drilling those 1000' wells and shell out the $80,000 so you can keep your shed warm in the winter. Isn't progress great?

 So we have team, I'll feed you the lines and you be the funny guy. Comedy duos were the best. Remember, Bud Abbott played the straight man to Lou Costello, and even if they had only done one routine during their entire career, “Who’s on First? would be almost number one as a show of all time. I guess I won't be a guest speaker at the Geothermal Annual Convention. :partyhat:

it isn't only the barrel price of crude causing these out of control prices, the refinery's, the few are still left in usa, are making much higher margins than ever before. There are many fingers in the oil cookie jar, all wanting to take as much money as they can. teach 'em a lesson, find other alternatives, it all adds up.

It's more about economics then about greedy oil companies.

All that was done decades ago & it did squat--the PIG lowered the price when they felt like it  Alternative fuel sources were tried & true but they just seemed to disappear-or the PIG bought them up :(

Everyone needs to read the book, "The Deep, Hot, Biosphere", by Thomas Gold. If hydrocarbons are created by decaying plant matter, how is it that the other planets in the solar system have tons of methane on them?

Starbucks latte currently go for 4 bucks a cup...how many latte's per gallon would equal how much per gallon you would pay for Coffey er sorry latte's or how about Redbull How many Redbulls per gallon...wow that many... I'm sure that the oil companies look at things in the same light...cost and demand......we demand it so they come up with a cost, and if they see that we are paying a hell of a lot for something that can't get us anywhere they just charge more. I mean what does a Redbull have in it that would make people pay that much for it anyway or Starbucks.....I'm not bashing here just illustrating is all...

I don't do Coffey or any stimulants...I'm irritable enough the way it is. My best days are when I get to go across the street and pull a grunt out of the bar because he decided to use my property to dispose of a bottle or can.....Winter time is even better since I get to follow the trail of the snowmobiler that went thru my yard......DNR got to collect 3 snowmobiles this last year, hoping for more next year....I have a sign up now with 3 notches.....

"Oil hit a high of $147 per barrel in 2008. It settled Tuesday at $112.21, up around 23 percent for the year." And who was President in 2008???
