http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/washington/2011/0 ... waste.html

On Sept. 9 that year in a special closed-circuit TV program for the groundbreaking of Solyndra's new plant, Vice President Joe "Recovery Summer" Biden announced the signing of the $535-million federal loan guarantee, the Energy Department's first under the stimulus plan.

Joe said, "These jobs are the jobs that are going to define the 21st century that will allow America to compete and to lead like we did in the 20th century.”Obama bounds on stage at Solyndra 5-26-10

The money would finance construction of a Solyndra facility, creating 3,000 construction jobs and 1,000 full-time positions in the modern plant making photovoltaic solar panels.

Seems to be never ending. The amount of government waste and back room deals.
I heard recently that a major US solar panel company was moving it's operation over to you know where.
I know....... so what else is new. :x

The solar plants are going to China like most others, probably knowing that funding for such foolishness will be cut. Why develop any other alternative power sources. Once again its meant to be sarcastic for those of you that may be sarcasm impaired.http://www.huffingtonpost.com/james-m-gentile/wil ... 10244.html

If you read the article it states that company didn't make a profit since 2005 and these companies were leaving long before the GOP took control.

One has to begin to wonder how many jobs renewable energy is killing through taxes, increased energy costs and ultimately jobs going to oversea manufacturers subsidized by the American taxpayer.
