I'm curious myself. If he means number 1 terminal from the aquastat to ZR, it means that the stoker motor will run continuously with no high limit protection.

Stoke shuts off at high limit with the jumper installed.

The jumper replaces the feed from the timer when the timer is not active

OK, got that. So, why do you want to run continuously? Is you heat load that big?

The circulator is wired to run 24/7 since I will not be able to run control wires from my house to the boiler (which is located 75' from the house in a seperate out building) until spring
When the 110 volt stat in the house calls for heat, it turns on the furnace fan only and heat is extracted via the heater coil installed in the return side of the duct work.

I understand now what he's doing. He wants a constant coal-fired hot water supply available to an in-house system, which is using a thermostatically controlled air handler and coil.

I use a similar system myself, but with a different method. I guess I didn't have my thinking cap tied on properly.
