It's gone, someone bought it for a buy it now price, which I might add was never listed. If I knew that I would have grabbed it last week.

One of the questions on the auction page was what was his reserve price. He answered that there was none [so it was the original $850]. He said the highest bidder takes it.

The Ebay rules say that if there is an active bid, that the auction cannot be ended early unless it is stated otherwise.

Not much integrity by this seller !!

I emailed the seller to get his feedback on this and this is what he sent me;

I had a lot of watchers but no bidders, so I added a buy it now to see if anyone would bid.
I did not want the auction to go for only 850 since I had more in the boiler than that.

If I would have had a bidder I would not have been able to add a Buy it Now.

Too bad, at least two people I know of were willing to bid over $2000 for it. He lost out because of his impatience.

Doesn't he know how bids go on Ebay.... nothing for days then everything at the last minute...

Too bad, I guess I should have put a 'starter bid' on it. Even though I don't need another one.
