Truck Boxes....anyone recommend any?

PostBy: I'm On Fire On: Wed Mar 02, 2011 9:16 pm

I'm looking for a truck box for my 1999 Dodge Dakota. Looking to spend maybe $200 or less on one. Anybody have any suggestions?

Thanks, Weatherguard is a wee bit out of my price range. I of course have no issue with going over my intended $200 range but to go over that much, my wife would kill me.

Craigslist or take a ride over to TSC, they have steel, plastic or alu.

I have a used one if you are interested. I don't know if it will fit your Dakota though, it may be too wide. I'll post up the dimensions later today. I would like to get $150 for it. It has a lock and is in great shape, I never even used it myself. :)

The first question I have is what do you want to put into it ??

From there we can help you decide on what to use.

I want to put stuff in it. Groceries, tools. Things that are in the cab of the truck that need to be with the truck but not necessarily in the cab.

Its a club cab so it has a full bench seat but no leg room. I've got tools in the back I use a lot but wont fit in the storage bin under the bench. My son complains everytime he has to sit in the back.

Too bad you live so far away, I have a plastic one you could have (no shipping will be done).

I don't blame you. I wouldn't want to ship one either.
