The stove looks like a good job was done on the restoration. Did they tell you why they didn't restore the nickel on it?
The photos describing the dis-assembly and the re-assembly are very instructive for me.I really can see how the stove is made.wsherrick wrote:The stove looks like a good job was done on the restoration. Did they tell you why they didn't restore the nickel on it?
I think I will have to change a few micas. They don't look all sealed as you already wrote in a past post and some are scratched, they gave me some spare ones. I don't know if the high temp. red silicone in tube could be good for sealing the micas or if the stove cement is the best?
The lady from Bryant Stove told me that they didn't made the nickel on the trims cause it would have made the price much higher, probably as much as I paid for the stove. If the stove performs correctly I will make some parts nickeled in the future. Quite costly so...one part at the time.

Nortcan,
It's been a long time in coming. Congratulations, that stove looks beautiful! Good luck with it.
I will have to formally file a complaint however. I don't want to wait until next year to hear if you like how it works or not... LOL

VigllPB, thanks. I have an open eye on the Bride, days and nights. Dont worry, I will keep the Vigll making the hard work in the house. The BB is a very small stove so it will just run very slow and will make the Vigll his best stove's Bride.VigIIPeaBurner wrote:Congratulations Nortcan on your beautiful Bride! It is already working ,no problem with it, no modif. until now. Forgot: it's working with a salt lamp in it now. lol.
Thank you Doug. I also wish I could start it but there is no chimney in that small living room. I will need some help for the chimney's location set-up. The roof on that place is lower than the main one and I'm not sure on how to deal with that. When ready for it, I was thinking of sending photos of the house roofs and see what could be the best installation for the chimney.DOUG wrote:Nice stove. I can't wait to see it fired up and read about it's performance. Great find!
