Circulator pump and all other controls/hot water tank/radiant heat controls and piping are in the house 110' away.

That is a beauty of a home , must be alot of up keep.

They must color sand and buff from the factory

With Walmart Rust-oleum Royal Blue paint and with my eyes closed it turned out pretty good. In my first post you can see my lunch in the reflection. Actually the house doesn't require that much upkeep. We built it back in 1986 it's a local dealer Beaver Mountain Log Homes, in Hancock NY

Excellent installation, very well done. You won't be disappointed with that EFM.

When I installed my WCB a few years ago, I never anticipated using it for anything else but a heat assistant to my oil unit, and I used a 3/4" supply and return line to travel 50' each way. It heats the whole house easily.

Apparently it's working fine. I can't get out to the building to check it because first - I'm looking at shoveling/snow blowing 18" of snow with 3 to 4 foot drifts. I might be able to check it out this afternoon. Thank you for all the positive comments. The house is at 73.

Very impressive installation. Thanks for the walk-around video, it really makes it easy to see the details. I love the coal bin sightglass! What are you running for feed/air and aquastat settings?

I just cleaned the flue pipe on my 520 yesterday, and based on that experience I am going to replace the first elbow in the pipe with a capped tee...just something for you to think about.

That's what I was planning, but I had to get the boiler running and I had problems finding enough 8" tees, there's an elbow there for now.

I was watching your video, that is a neat idea , with the coal window to see into the bin Looked like your pressure was up to 24, did you fill it that high or do you have that much expansion, your prv should go at 30. With that much pressure you could push water up 48', do you need it that high ?

great vid and workmanship. After years of a bx cable laying up against a copper pipe i found corosion due to dissimilar metals. your prv drain is close to the outfire supply.

Thanks again for the comments. Feed rate is set at 4 - Air 4 1/2 aquastat 180 high 140 low 15 degree diff. The reason pressure was so high I wanted to make sure all air came out of system quickly being I have an extra 110 feet of pipe. It's now running at 13 PSI. BX cable will be moved away from copper pipe and strapped with a hanger. I thought about a TEE in place of the elbow but I made the S.S.strap that bolts around the flue pipes making for an easy disconnect and reinstall of the pipes.
I have a small punch list of things to take care of on my installation. I too looked high and low for Videos and Installs with pictures to help me with my system. Stockermans install was the biggest help. Just seeing how things should go, look and different ideas from many people on this forum helped me complete my system. Took me 3 1/2 hours but the snow is cleaned and boiler is still running like a champ haven't touched it since starting up yesterday at 11:00 am. My county is in a STATE OF EMERGENCY because of snow so no work today.

EFM 520 still running making DHW. I did have one problem, when I attended the Meet'n Greet on May 14th my DW sent me an email.

ME. Why would she send such an email I got some Ideas I ended stripping the insulation off and adding more ventilation in the coal building. Life is good and no fuel oil.

Randy, what are you using for a timer setting? Personally I think a high limit of 180 is too low for an insulated boiler and the feed rate at 4 teeth. You probably missed a timer cycle or two because the high limit had been reached, and the tight building + short chimney couldn't sustain the fire via natural draft.

I am running my 520 on 4 teeth, 160/200/10diff, and 2 minutes every 30 on the timer. I am running it with "bare knuckles" (no jacket or insulation), and it usually idles at approximately 165 degrees. We are running it for domestic hot water only at this point, and it seems to use 20-25 lbs of rice per day.
