Hi Freetown. Thanks for your longterm input. always very interesting. I currently am on my 2nd. coal burner this year. now its a penn stove, identical to a Chubby. first was a Jr, too small. only matters to us purests. I love the art of burning coal. the intense heat, glow, low cost. But, it is about heating my, or any one on a budget,s home. I am a mechanical contractor from central bucks county, Pa. designed my own air source heat pump, with a geothermal enhancement, drill my own bores. cost: under 5 thousand. it is cheaper to run than even coal. the coal is a back up and feel good. What I am saying is that while burning coal is a great hobby, addiction, it is for the few of us who appreciate it. Burning coal in a power plant is a totally different situation not applicable here. Politics aside, we should leave our opinions, biases and sometimes incorrect statements on the keyboard, and off of this really fun forum. ( unfortunately, I am very opinionated too) Homecomfort.
