I remember filling the hopper and emptying the ashes growing up but never had to maintain until recently. I don't have any info on it not even who made it. Any help would be appreciated

When did you do that? I take it you grew up with this in the basement as a kid. How long ago was that?murr78 wrote:I remember filling the hopper and emptying the ashes growing up but never had to maintain until recently.
I remember when I was young having a big coal pit in the basement. I don't remember what we used it for. I was like 8 at the time. I do remember stacking wood and moving it from the drop off pile, to the stacked area. Then into the house. I hated the work behind burning wood. I did and do like the heat in the room where the wood stove would be.

I'm 37 now and I remember my older brother taking care of it because I was "to little". I just don't remember if it was the same boiler. I don't know when this one was installed.

Now that I am poking around a little more . There is a metal plate on the housing for the squirrel cage, don't know proper name, it is a bit worn but can make out some of the print. It said Trip Burner Inc. Schu, the schu would be Schuylkill haven which would be keystoker. Right?

It looks like what you have there Murr is a Tri-Burner branded Keystoker. Here's a shot of my old Keystoker A125 hot air furnace.
The stoker part of your boiler is made by Keystoker. It's very likely the boiler was made by Keystoker to. If I were you, I would call Don at Keystoker and ask him about it. He's been there about a hundred years or so! 717-385-3873. If you ever need any parts for it he's the guy to talk to.

No problem Murr. You just keep that boiler running, it's the best and cheapest heat around.murr78 wrote:Much appreciated Don
I was wondering what that round thing on the front of your boiler was. Lucky that other Tri-Burner thread had the oil gun stuck in it, now we know.
