I have tried Blaschak, Tuscarora, LC&N, South Tamaqua, America Premium, and Jeddo Highland coal. I keep coming back to South Tamaqua coal pockets. There facility has greatly improved over the years, it is very clean and the guys running the breaker are very friendly. Just hard to make it during the week after work by 4:00pm to get coal, they do not like when you get theyr'e just before 4. As far as quality it is probably the best I have ever had. I try to find better but keep coming back. The worst coal I have ever had has been American Premium ( horrible coal), but cheap price and a free hat. Friendly people to deal with but very poor coal? I have heard in the past that LC&N sells raw coal to South Tamaqua? I have even heard that South Tamaqua owns a stake in LC&N?

I just now got off the horn with Butch, asked for pricing etc... Very nice guy to talk to and a very good price for my local area... I will be giving him my 5 tons of business this year...

where is your location, if out of pa, it is very reasonable for the type of coal you would be buying i can guarentee you wont find better coal

im in Mt. Pocono and it would have to be super coal at that price. There are at least 4 other companies around here that deliver it oiled for 160 - 180 a ton.

i would put money on it that they are not delivering premium coal from where it is found to be the best and hardest in our hometown of tamaqua,

if i may ask, who is delivering at that price, because we cant even get it for that price at our breaker.

Mengle coal and oil in weatherly for one, its 170 a ton and 10 a ton to oil it. I have been using them for 3 years. Maybe 220 a ton in NY or NJ is fair because of the distance but not in the Poconos, there has to be 15 different places within 40 - 50 miles that will deliver bulk around here.

is their coal premium or from the tamaqua area
