Ya wanta know why the usually implaccable Japs are in a total panic, the answer is pluthermal MOX. This stuff will eventually spew all over Tokyo making Chernobyl look like a village tea party. I can't promise what winds will blow where and when but for some tme now plutonium has been mixed in nuclear power plants which is fine until...... this is what happens when the ecoloonies make more noise than toxicologists and engineers.

I am a toxicologist by training but these days just google what happens when one molecule of Pt gets into the lung. Cesium dirty bombs are childs play these guys just invented the ultimate dirty bomb courtesy of the green crowd. I have been watching this for days and not a word...... but trust me the Japan govt knows but the public does not. If the right winds and screw ups continue and its back to the days of the Samurai. The official word is stay indoors and wash it off with soap and water - yeah right. God, I hope I am wrong. The object of this post is not to worry people but to speculate about energy mixes on this planet and where coal will stand. I think it makes anthracite gold dust.

I'm replacing my coal early this year. Reading Anthracite seems to be shipping much more coal this Spring. They've been running the trains late at night and very early AM. This much rail traffic hasn't occurred since the late 1960's. Something's up!

I had my 5 ton for next season brought in 3 weeks ago and it was already up $10 a ton from last year. Checked with other suppliers in the area and they are all up the $10 a ton.

Ironically, while reading this a news story came on the radio talking about how this event in Japan has impacted coal-fired power plants here in the United States.

The owners have all testified before Congress that the additional environmental controls proposed would increase the operating costs of the power plants to the point where they become too expensive to operate at a profit!

I'm betting the Tokyo Power Company wishes it had Coal Fired Plants right now. We are talking a tremendous human toll, and the financial toll will be in the billions. No Geiger counters needed at any coal powered site.

Freetown don't have a Main st.---just a 4 Corners (kinda)---32 miles of Town Rd. Some seasonal.
