Just confirming that my wife and I will be present as well.
Can we bring our children or is this an adult thing only?

I'm a family man myself and enjoy every minute with my children, but I think we should keep this day for adults only.I'm On Fire wrote:Just confirming that my wife and I will be present as well.

Not sure I can spare a full day away from the stove building, but will be down for a quick hello at least. Anyone who would like to come and see the LL factory on Friday, Saturday or Sunday (hell any day of the year for that matter! )is welcome any time, just let myself or Flyer5 know so we can make sure one of us is going to be there. We are about one hour North West of Pottsville so might be an option for some of you on the way down or the way home.

Looks like I'll be coming by myself. Don't think we'd be able to get a babysitter to watch the kids. But, at any rate. That's ok because then I can bring my truck and buy some coal.

Just in today,..... got the OK from a local strip mine to stop by their site and take a gander at their operation. Only a few minutes from DiRenzo Coal,.. we'll fit it in. Also I forgot to say that all tours are free. Anyone coming in Fri and lookin' for things to do contact me , I'll find something cool. The countdown is on to "The Day The Coal Stoker People Unite"
Carry on,
Matt

I'm planning an event in the Fall, actually it was going to be last year but with the house fire my lifes been a little hectic over the last year. We'll probably do day at Knoebel's followed by an adult gathering in the evening so we can accommodate everyone. If you're unfamiliar with this park it's unique, free entry, free parking, free pavilions and you can bring grills. It's rated best family park in the country and they also have one the highest rated wooden roller coasters in the world. They have camping facilities there too. Hopefully we can get most of the moderators there and decent turn out of the regulars.I'm On Fire wrote:Just confirming that my wife and I will be present as well.

If any of you have the time please wander up the mountain at 20th st to see the ongoing project of filling stripping holes. I don't think many, or for that matter any of you are aware that over 6 million of your tax dollars are being wasted and dumped into holes. Yes you read that right. OVER 6 MILLION of YOUR MONEY! This is being done so the local joggers and hikers can basically safely trespass on someone else's property. Oh and once it's settled for the appropriate time a housing development will no doubt be put there and not one dollar will ever go back to the taxpayer. 6 million would have bought a lot of fence, don't you think.

I looked into it and yes we do need a permit. A gathering of over 20 people in the streets of Pottsville is considered a parade or a block party. To be safe I applied for a permit. Now all we need is a Grand Marshal for our parade of the coal stoker people. How about you tsb
