But, my question is--has anyone upgraded to IE 9-- I can't find what I currently have--IE 7 or IE 8??? anyway--any feed back on IE 9--I looked at some blogs & as usual, some like it some don't--I downloaded it, but did not install it--this FORUM is about the depth of my computer use--this & my E-mail & yes--the 2 people that like me periodically e-mail me toothy Any thoughts/suggestions on this??

Nippy on the hill this AM? Launch IE and when it is active, left click on Help on the menu list. Left click again at the bottom choice. It will display the version, and a system info tab. 28 here at 09:53. Had to come back home to get more clothes on.

I still laugh about 'shutting down for the season', we still have snow in all the northern facing areas. Ski areas are all closed, but the trails are still 90 percent covered.

I use Firefox, and my wife likes IE, so I have both. No IE9 for me yet, I'll wait for more reports and fixes to be added. It may be fine, but I'm skeptical of compatibility issues on my machine. I do like Bing though. Another useful toy.

Yea, you & me both on that sceptical thing.I think I've reached that age where change don't excite me that much anymore ;) Weathers about the same here--70* tomorrow.I picked up a buggy & am going to go over it--wheels are good (wooden with a rubber bead around them) & bearings are good--it needs some wood working--the harness I've got is too small for my cart horse, soooo, off to the Amish settlement today. Thanx for the comeback WN---------------OK, it's IE 8 & I'm happy with it ;)

Just about every program will list the version under Help >> About.

I've had IE9 running for a few weeks now. I LIKE IT  They did change up where you find certain tools, but overall, 2 thumbs up. Its much faster (perceptively) and uses less resources (Your results may vary, ya-da, ya-da, ya-da)
The ony issue I haven't been able to solve, is an issue on the coal forum.... The "Take me to first Un-Read Post" button does not work correctly. I've been using the "Take me to The Last Post" button to get around the issue.

On the security software, I removed AVG long ago, and am using the free "Microsoft Security Essientials". It does a better job than AVG, and uses a heck of a lot less resources than Norton.
