i built this little monstrosity to heat my house this coming winter (New Zealand)

its a babington ball waste oil burner...for those that don't know a babington burner works like a whales blowhole, oil flowing over the surface of the burner ball makes a thin film about 3 to 5 thousandths of an inch thick...this film of oil is pierced by a jet of compressed air from a .010" hole in the ball which atomizes the oil

enjoy...and remember there is no such thing as a dumb question...only people with no imagination that are too dumb to ask questions in the first place  (i've never had that problem)

oh and before someone take a pot shot at me for not saying so in the video...all temperatures referred to are in Celsius

Hi ,nice video and nine piece of heating machine.
Just one thing to watch out: the battery under the "tube". If acid vapor from the battery goes in contact with the open fire.... I learned it when a welding torch flame came near my motorcycle's battery. Better to wear a full face H.D. protector LOL. Good luck.
