Yup. How the people of Connecticut elected the WWE woman over him is beyond me.

The best candidates in CT didn't win in the primaries. I am stunned by the foolish choices made. Peter Schiff might not have charisma but he makes up for it in my book by being right about most things, especially economics.

At the end of the day, for an elected representative anyway, is there anything more important than being right about economics?

I still shake my head thinking about it.

Image what Peter Schiff must think about the public rejecting him and the games that are played in the primary process. Sad fact it shakes out to winning, not doing what is right. I don't think he understood the "game" of politics. He put his ideas out there and thought that would be enough. Kind of naive in that respect if my take on it is correct. Politics today is about promising what people want to hear, not being honest. Shame on so many shallow people that drag us down to that level as a society.

I friend of mine in PA ran for Congress in 08 and during a debate, the moderator said, basically, "The people don't care about the Constitution. What, specifically, are you going to do FOR them?"

So that's the hill you have to climb. A boatload of cash and promises, promises.
