This happened today, First time ever. I shut the switch off on the back of the stove. Thermostat was set at 70 day and 75 nite, Min feed 4, max 20

My wife said she heard a motor running and sure nuff, it was feeding coal. Never did this before and inside temp was higher than stove settings.

Any Ideas?

Thanks, Stan

Does the unit continue to feed coal after say 30 minutes? Does the display go blank on the white thermostat box when you turn off the switch? Another thing to try is to run the unit through the test mode and see if the motors cycle properly. It could be a bad cable or the relay in the black box on the stove is stuck in the on position.

This is very odd. The switch should be cutting power to all the output receptacles. If you're still getting power to them with the switch off then there is a wiring issue (either in the Coal-trol control module or perhaps outside of it as part of your installation) that should be fixed ASAP.

Please try running the test mode cycle with the switch off. If you are still getting motor action with the switch off please contact us (Automation Correct LLC, phone number 315-299-3589) as soon as possible. If you get voice mail please leave a message referencing this thread on the forum and with your contact info so we can arrange to troubleshoot and repair/replace as necessary.

I lit it this am, I pulled the power cord out and let it sit overnite, also checked the cat cable, all looked good. turned it on and it was not feeding coal like it did yesterday. I will try the test tomm with the switch off.
I am near Hazleton, Pa

Thanks, Stan

I did the test this am and nothing ran, worked good all nite. I will send my unit in when it gets warm for the upgrade and you can check everything. I still have no idea why it did that.

Thanks, Stan
