Still burning!

Didn't pay the taxes, ran up the credit cards, forgot to fix fences and mow, partied for weeks and now look, no end of the world. Hate that Camping guy. Now I've got to catch up and 14 horses are coming Thursday. I will never trust a a damned doomsdayer again. Now I will just have to wait to die of old age. I will probably be so feeble that I wouldn't know what to do with 72 virgins anyway.

Still putting about 10 pounds a day through the Harman. But there is only 10 pounds left in my coal carrier, and it will go into the stove tonight or tomorrow, and that's the end. Have to shut down and move the stove before next week when the new hardwood floor goes in! Not sure yet how I will do the moving part....

P.S. Take heart! The Rapture has been rescheduled for October 21. Mark your calendars. I am still stockpiling coal, however, because I don't expect to be among the first group whisked off to Heaven.

Now I've put some hardwood floors down--blind nailing tounge & groove & if they say you shouldn't gently roll your piano on it--something ain't right--I've never done the--just stick it down--but in my opinion--there should be no problem carefully moving anything on it---did the contractor tell you this or was it the arm-chair floor installers??

The roller diameter on the piano legs are the issue.
They aren't 16" wheels, so the psi is enormous and the wheels are not "perfectly constructed" for the job they do.
Many are cast, and they are not to 'Boeing specs'. I don't want to start a 2000 post, 66 page argument, but boys and girls, oak flooring is not really that hard. I cam see all the old timers jumping through their
butts, but care will solve the moving issue. We always use a sliding device under heavy loads and NEVER roll appliances, furniture or slide anything unless it is protected.

Makes sense. But there is careful and there is CAREFUL. I just can't see treating a floor like a piece of fine furniture. It will be like a new car: the sooner it gets its first ding, the sooner you can stop worrying about it. A guy I work with scratched his new floor the first day, and he says now his little kids are not so nervous about the shine because Daddy already made the first mark.
