coal-banning boreau legislation

Anyone heard about any new legislation that could ban the use of coal for home heat around the Fairbanks North Star Boreau? I heard
from my uncle that they had just put something in to be voted on in the fall, but I couldn't find any backup

Is this what he was talking about?

"The fines, which kick in this fall, include $30 penalties for burning fuels such as tires, wet wood and animal carcasses."

No that wasn't it. I remember that though. Big outdoor boiler less than a hundred feet from a major highway. This sub-bit really has an odor to it. But quite frankly, I kind of enjoy the smell. In fact, I find certain wood fires to be more obtrusive.

I got the same rumor from my son in North Pole

so I am working on a hook up to ship my used pellet boiler to him because pellet stoves are allegedly exempt.

I would swing by the Woodway stove shop on college road for the current local situation.
Last time I was in there they had one Harmon coal stove and he said he could not sell it to anyone in the Faribanks area, whatever that is.
I also remember that somone else in town was the new Harmon Dealer.
This is a link to the currrent Harmon stove dealer http://www.wdaalaska.com/
He should know.
