Looking for prices on Power Vents?

PostBy: 2blessingsfromabove On: Mon Oct 15, 2007 7:51 pm

We need to buy a power vent asap....where would we look to find cheaper prices because the prices we have been quoted are around 5-6 hundred dollars. Anybody know of online sources or wholesale places?

Thanks for all your help

I looked and didn't find anything online that compares to the price I got locally last year. Patriot Supply has the best price I found ($333).

If you can't find someone locally to purchase one for you from a wholesale plumbing supply then try contacting the good folks at Leisure Line. Their kit is the best and they might cut you a break since you are in desperate straights.

Hope this helps a little :)

Matthaus gave you a suggestion to call LL. Can you tell how your search for a less costly PV ended?

Our power vent consists of a stainless steel power vent, wired on a rheostat to adjust draw. A 4/6 stainless steel reducer, a barometric damper, and a WMO-1 safety switch. Also it has a UL label for burning coal. Price $550.00 + tax + freight.

The LL price is more than reasonable considering that it is complete and comes with a UL listing, if you buy the SWG on it's own there is no approval for solid fuel use. :(

In other words SWG 4HDS $333, WMO-1 $60, Rheostat $35, stainless reducer $50, Baro damper $30, but the UL listing = priceless! ;)
