and I feel a little depressed... so...

I 'm checking into a nursing home in Marathon, NY and walking down the road for free beer every morning at Freetown Corners. Oh, you think the nursing home will throw me out as they just think I am a lazy bum....think again and who cares what they think.

Fred might get tired of me soooooo....

When winter comes it's down to Florida and repeat the cycle and mornings at the Blue Anchor Pub at WPB (beer to die for) where my poor starving cousin who worked her ass of all her life and is now broke serves at the bar to supplement her pension.

You know, I don't feel so depressed anymore.

Lets see?? Marathon to Freetown Corners--8 miles. Nah, I'd just walk down the road to the Three Bear Inn--I think they made the Road Kill Connisuurrry magazine ;)

You know, I'm sick of working too.

Today in fact is a perfect example that started with yesterdays call from my boss. Basically, it's my fault they aren't scheduling full days of work for me. I should be more pro-active in doing their job to find more work to fill out my days. Then, I come in this morning to find that my helper hasn't shown up for work...again....and my first job fell through. So, I rolled on to a second one I scraped up only to arrive at that one to find I can't do it either.

Now, its 1130 and I'm sitting behind the building of the second job waiting for my dispatcher to call with a third job. Have I mentioned my truck is idling and the GPS is going, "beep, beep, beep" at my boss' computer telling him, "Hey, IOF is arrived at the job, but his truck has been idling since his arrival there. HE IS NOT WORKING!!!!"

In about an hour I'll get another call from him asking, "Why is your truck idling?" and I'll reply, "My second job fell through. I'm waiting on orders from you.", then he'll ask, "Well, don't you think you should've called it in?", to which I'll reply, "M'yep. Already did. Balls in your court. What now?" and he'll say, "Stand-by."

And I'll still be sitting in this parking lot, behind this building with my truck idling with a full bladder wishing I had just stayed in bed.

I want to be paid to sit at home, drink beer, eat potato chips, watch tv, play video games and mess around with my coal stove. At least it'd be more fun than this.

The day they install one of them things in my vehicle will be the day I give my notice. :D

We had those in all the trucks at WM. They used to look on the computer if you took too long to finish your route. You were allowed 1 hour lunch, but it was sort of accepted that you wouldn't eat lunch until your route was done. I didn't play that game - when Smitty is hungry, Smitty eats .... or Smitty gets REALLY pissed! They used to try to bag me for taking too long, but I always had an excuse. After all, they told us "better to take your time to avoid an accident" .... but then in the same breath, "PRODUCTIVITY DAMMIT!" God forbid you get hurt in the process. Bye bye to you .. but only if you say it happened at work ....

Ahhh corporate America in the 21st century.

Working is highly overrated, I have too many things to do to bother with working. On the other hand the prospect of living in a refrigerator box isn't too appealing to me.

 I hear that.

I'll never work for anyone else again if I can help it though. Much better to be your own boss ... even if you have to eat mac & cheese every night. ;)

I have a full time job and a side business. Sometimes it gets to be a little overwhelming and I end up taking a little break, like I'm doing right now.

We get that too. Such a double standard. They don't care as long as it doesn't affect their bottom line. But everything you do or want to do affects their bottom line.

Hell, we just got an email saying not to idle the trucks for any reason, at all. But then they give us courses on heat exhaustion. So, we can't run our trucks, and we're not allowed to over-heat ourselves, but we can't go home, or to the office, or to another job because they don't have any more for the day.

My head hurts.

As I finish my only job for Thursday morning and sit down in my truck to do my paperwork. *Turns the key* *Cranks the AC*.
