Uncle - Uncle

PostBy: coalnewbie On: Thu Jun 23, 2011 8:43 am

Forget my thoughts that we need to be grateful for the rain, I'm basically stupid - sorry.

Last night we got drowned. Bundles of newly bought fencing flowing down a river that used to be my farm - yes a river that I could paddle my canoe on except no way could I fight the tide. Horses standing knee deep in water as I had not plugged in the sump pump that had not seen action in 7 years. Exclusive, exclusive - I just looked at the radar we are about to get drowned again.

HELP.

I see it on the radar, looks like it's almost here as well.

Was a nasty day. I went to Stony Point, NY, took forever to get there. Then to Garnerville and then New City. Flooding everywhere.

There may be more to come folks, I just checked my rain gauge & we had just under four inches in a little over an hour. Looks like a lot of the fields that the farmers were finally able to get started might have been partially washed out, lucky that we are pretty much flat & have a lot of gravel so in soaks down fairly fast.
