Now it's doing it again. This time when I came to the site I got the message. It wouldn't even let me in when I pushed the "try again" button. So I retyped the address and didn't have problem. Earlier today when I went to the Firefox home page and looked through their "correction of error" self help suggestions they had what would seem to be a fix but I didn't have time to try it. Being that the problem is more an annoyance then anything at this point I think I'll just wait for the 5.1 version as someone suggested. It would seem to me by the solution on the Firefox homepage, they know about the problem and are working toward a solution.

Take care, Lisa

Do any of these other sites have a persistent login? The issue is apparently something to do with the cookie. There is apparently nothing I can do with it but I'll keep looking into it, the link I posted above is an issue with the WSJ site and the people there are certainly above my pay grade.

This fixed it for me:

Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.

"Clear the Cache":

Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"

"Remove the Cookies" from sites causing problems:

Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies" Delete NEPAcrossrods.

Just a note, deleting the cookie will log you off.

You could also try the "Delete cookies" link first in the lower right which should remove them.

Or click here: ucp.php?mode=delete_cookies

You may have to follow the directions Freddy Gave, at least the first part.

I just updated to Firefox 5.0 for Linux yesterday, and I'm consistently getting the error on the first attempt to launch NEPACrossroads.com after opening Firefox. Second time works like a charm. Therefore the problem is across operating system platforms, being the same for Linux as it is for Windows.

So far this is the only website giving me any noticeable problems.

The question I have is are you logging onto other sites? As I pointed out above in the link seems someone using the Wall Street Journal site requiring a login is having same issue.

It has something to do with the cookie, my problem in solving this since it's only FF5 is whether or not there is anything I can do.

Is it FF bug, bug on my end or combination of both? I don't see any issues with the testing I've done third party that doesn't involve FF5.....

I log onto 3 other forums, my online banking, gmail and yahoo mail and this site is the only one that I get the error. It's really not a problem, you just have to refresh it. I don't know if it is a cookie problem or what but first time today I got the error. Went shopping and left the computer on, maybe 4 hours, now I come back and it did it again. Internet Exploder users will have the problem soon once Microsoft comes out with their latest version.

Might have this fixed? I'm reluctant to install 5.0 at the moment to test it myself.

My gut says it's a Firefox problem, not a NEPAcrossroads problem. If I refresh, or go to some other site and come back, it works fine. It's just the first time each day when I open Firefox that it happens. No biggie, just a curious thing.
