Is AHS still actively participating on this forum?

Just checking. It seems to me that there has been no active involvement from an AHS representative in quite some time here.

I have been wondering also. I have a call in to the main office and am awaiting a call from Ben Witmer. Perhaps they are are on an extended Vaca.......

To some extent, but there isn't much activity either.

To my knowledge they just moved to a new manufacturing facility recently, so I hope all is well at the corporate level.

I don't know if AHS monitors this forum or not. I think AHS sales left with their tail between their legs ever since I challenged them about the hopper height of the S130.

My still outstanding question ...

"To Ben Witmer, Jeff Gingerich and Brian Wise of AHS could you explain why such an important height number is not listed on the AHS web site?"

I also asked the same question in a private e-mail. No response.

More details at:

Question RE : Height of AHS S130 Coal Gun to top of hopper

Has anyone visited the new shop and/or spoken with Ben Witmer, Jeff Gingerich or Brian Wise recently? My last few emails to Ben have gone unanswered for a period of several weeks now.

I was at the new digs during the second week of May; spoke with Ben and got a plant tour. Very nice facility and it was extremely busy building inventory of all their product lines. I have spoken to Ben since, but not in June. Member Watkins Drive has been in close contact with Ben, and he may chime in at some point if he sees this thread.

The forum is not their main focus, however as members, we sure find it helpful in staying updated on what is happening in the heating side of the coal business.
Relax guys....enjoy some time for other projects and to say thanks that we don't speak German, Russian or Japanese as a first language.....or Arabic........

Our lives may not be perfect, but they sure beat the hell out whatever is in second place! :!: :!:

Is AHS founder, Jeff Gingerich still around? I got the impression he would be a consultant until the company was completely moved from it's original location then move on to another vocation. You do realize Jeff sold his company to Brain. That's why some of the AHS people names we would see on this forum in the past are no longer around. They moved on, perhaps with some encouragement.

I hope that with the change in ownership they have kept (and also intend to keep going forward) Ben Witmer. He's one great guy.

Howdy all!!! We are alive and well!! LOL... well with the exception that because the 59.5 inch Hopper height isnt listed on the Web site which is in the process of being redone. To the poor soul who thinks we have our tail between our legs...We are to busy for our tail to be anywhere but flying in the wind!! Things are going awesome as we are already backed up 4-6 weeks on S-130 orders and the Wood side is doing quite well also. We just added a second shift and hope to be 24-7 by September. I would like to spend time on here but just dont have the down time to do it. Anyway greetings to all and lets keep the coal fire burning!!

Also wanted to follow up to Larry... I have been forwarding your questions to our main Technician Darren Bricker. You can contact him via e mail at darren@woodgun.com. Jeff Gingerich is still involved and has taken over the Commercial side of the business and still assists us with his vast knowledge. I will try to at least pop my head into the Forum weekly to say hello and to give you any business updates!!
