Play button in center of video screen gone ....

This is a new one that just happened for the first time a week or 2 ago.

Anytime someone posts a non-Youtube video I used to get a black box with a white playbutton inside. Now I only see that after I post a video ... but when I return to the page afterward it's the same deal - all white screen in the video box. Can only download the video to watch it.

My first thought is probably another virus. Every computer I get, like clockwork, around the 1 year mark they begin to systemically fail .... and they always seem to "pick up" viruses.

So how do I fix this? Something on Adobe's end or is this my 3rd junk computer?

Did you upgrade to IE8 or 9??

Nope - I use Firefox only. I just upgraded that, but it was happening before ....

EDIT to say ... at least I didn't upgrade IE .... this computer likes to do things by itself, so who knows .... maybe it did???

same here--I just checked IE a few days ago & it's running IE 9--it must be cyber-magic now I feel more relaxed.

After a little reserch.... this might fix it.

Right click the embedded video, select settings, uncheck hardware acceleration.

Figures ... I just clicked on my Coffee post & all the videos are back to normal ...
