Anyone big into the larger diesel engines, know of a tuner or something to do to this engine to get more power out of it? Everything I've looked at says not much help unless you want to spend big bucks.

Thanks, Eric

I am not aware of any hi-po mods for the "E" series DT466. The days of adding some fuel with a screwdriver are long gone... Depending on the HP rating of your engine their may be some different programming available from the dealer, but that is a real long shot. In the meantime, make sure the engine is running as it should. e.g. Proper amount of boost, correct fuel pressure, etc.

A different approach would be to start planning a 3406 or N14 swap. :woot:

Call your local IH dealer with the last 8 of the VIN. Depending on what HP you have now sometimes it's possible to get more from a computer reflash. Never heard of an aftermarket computer or chip for them (ie. BullyDog)

Thanks guys one dealer said not to much they can do, TS performance has a plug and play tuner 30% increase in horsepower. It has mixed reviews from some of the diesel shops I talked to they said some people liked and some were less than impressed. Waiting for a call back from another company will keep updates here if I do something.

Thanks, Eric
