Oh you guys have hit the nail on the head.

Since moving into my new location, I get at least 1 person per week stopping in and asking me how they can fix their own car with the parts they bought themselves. Last guy shows up with the passenger's door pushed in 3 inches at the lower pillar area. I can see the kinks on the pillar and rocker panel. He wants to know how he can get that part out so he can open and close the door properly. This usually involves some structural pulling with the frame machine and replacing some welded on parts. But he wants to do it himself !!!!!!!

So I just tell him to get a big hammer and a 2 x 4 and start beating it from the inside out. He asks if I think that will work ??? I tell him I don't know for sure but to give it a shot and let me know how he makes out.

After he leaves the kid working for me asks me if that is my answer to everything. A hammer and 2 x 4. I tell him YEP as that is how most people think that is the way we fix cars anyhow. So easy a caveman can do it. If they want a proper repair, they will ask for an estimate. If they already know how it should be an easy repair to do that they can do it themselves, they get the hammer and 2 x 4 answer...... And we get to chuckle......

Rick

You almost always had to end up driving a bit too close just to have some room, people just don't think of why that truck might be holding back a bit.
You should try driving a 12' wide tractor down the road; people will nearly kill themselves to try and pass you...they usually like to try it AS YOU ARE TURNING LEFT INTO A FARM! Big tractor on road + upcoming farm driveway...big shocker that's where it is going? I have had people pass me in the ditch, nearly hit oncoming cars, blow the horn, etc.

Something wrong with that? It's how my wife fixes things, though she may skip the 2 x 4.

Surround sound stereos should all have option for playing 2 channel out of the rear speakers. Is this a no brainer?

Pet peeve: I order from Amazon, using my PO box address, and they pop up a message saying they can't deliver this item to PO boxes. So I have to use my street address. And then what do they do? They give it to FedEx or UPS "Smartpost" which delivers it to my post office which then (because we are a small town) figures out my PO box number and puts a notice in my box.

Anyone caught not washing their hands after using the bathroom should be shot.

(I can't STAND when people don't wash their hands.)

People leaving the pizza box open after grabbing a slice. *censored*.

Driving in the passing lane is a huge problem in NY...why do they do it?

Insurance companies...any business that is in the business of collecting your money, then looking for any excuse not to pay it out...

Against getting money for nothing. Even if on welfare there should be work to be done and done to a standard. Should be illegal to sit home collecting free money from taxpayers. I am not against helping people but I don't like to help people who just take advantage of the system.

Got no problem at all with that one Flyer except I'd like to see it for everyone with no exceptions as to how it's earned, income should be income & since Corporations are people they should be taxed as well.
If I take money out of a IRA based on the stock market or anything else I get taxed but if the big players base their accounts off shore & call it by another name it's tax free, if your living off of it then it should be taxed & then if spread around equally we could all be taxed at lower rates.
