A few weeks or so, Just waiting for the Nickel to be done, thirty parts in all. The new grate is cast and should be here soon as well. I'm almost ready to go..

Yep I just got mine back a few days ago. They do pretty good work.

The finial looks fantastic. I know you are anxious to get everything reassembled.

Okay Grumpy. I've been patient. What is going on with the Florence? Is it finished yet?

Beautiful stove brother. Hey, will the toilet bowel cleaner take off nickle plating, My finial is the only nickle part not original to my stove and it is rusted a bit. I am going to get it replated some time, I just would like to see if it would look better with the rust gone until then.

Also I think William is correct about the heated gas ring, the two inlets allows you to choose from allowing heated air to burn off volitile gas' which does not "cut" your primary air thus not slowing your stove down and one that cuts the primary air which would slow your stove.

I too would like to hear when she is done how this feature works.

The guy I hired to make a new cylinder subbed part of the job out. The first time it was to long, the second try it was to small in Dia, then this subcontractor did not want any part of it anymore and they had a falling out.

The guy I hired said he would keep looking for another roller or offer me a refund with an apology. I took the money and parts back. I have a lead on someone else and hope to get it in to him on Friday.

The pix is of the new but unusable cylinder and the old one, otherwise everything else is ready to go...

Thanks, It might work, I never tried that, I use Never Dull, the cotton like stuff.

That is going to be a great looking stove Grumpy, it looks as if you have a tremendous amount of patience as well I think I would have lost my mind by now.

I have a question about the finial, did the entire thing get coated ? The top with the name and the side pieces look like a different finish, maybe its just the picture or glare or ?

Thanks, the balls are copper and the rest is nickel..

Wow grumpy that's beautiful! If you need some rolling of metal these guys can get it right all you need yo do is b able to tell them what you want. I have used them for curved staircases and rails and they are right on the money ... if you give a them the correct dimensions! ha lol
