Anybody using Safari?

PostBy: Richard S. On: Thu Aug 18, 2011 6:51 am

John said he has had some trouble sting logged on and I wondering if it's just him or everyone using safari.

Whether you have any problems or not please post the version of Safari you are using and the OS/version.

I'm assuming you can stay logged in?

It's about 8am right now so I will monitor my log in and see how long until I get logged off. I have the settings set to keep me logged on.

OS X Version 10.6.8
Safari 5.1
I forgot to mention that I also have a problem getting to the last post. When I click on the icon that usually takes me to the latest post instead it takes me to the top of the last page.

Edit: I'm back to Safari instead of Firefox for the forum, I ran the software upgrade this morning, so far it hasn't logged me off. I'll try again later.

This is some kind of security feature on Windows and would be related the browser and windows. . In other words Windows and Safari aren't playing nice. :) It's not caused by my site and there is nothing I can do about it.

It just did it again, had to log back in. I guess it's Firefox for the forum then.

Hmm, now this makes sense. Ever since I started using safari, I have a really hard time staying logged in to this web site. Maybe I'll go to Mozilla. For some reason, I can't run windows explorer anymore on this computer...

I need version numbers. My guess is probably a specific version number on Safari. The same thing was happening with FF when they came out with new version a month or so ago.

I don't have a lot of users on Safari but getting constantly logged out is something I'll want to fix.

I too am on a MAC running Safari version 5.1 and MAC OS X version 10.7.1 Lion... Have had no problems staying logged in so far but I haven't been here often or for long when I am... I will stay logged in this afternoon when I go to sleep for a few hours and see if its still logged on when I wake...
